A potential deal that would have sent Dez Bryant to Akbar’s franchise and Duke Johnson and Austin Ekeler to Mike’s team was killed by the League after both teams agreed to terms. As AP reported: The League’s decision to reject a proposed trade involving unsigned Free Agent Dez Bryant set the stage for an awkward morning on September 27 across the nation. Akbar and Mike thought they had worked out a deal to send the unsigned star to Akbar’s team with journeymen Duke Johnson and Ekeler back to Mike.
