Weekly Recap
Week 6
Ah, the best time of the year. It’s not 185 degrees and humid anymore. Baseball is almost over (thank God). Football is in full swing. Soccer is going strong. And basketball is back. Oh, speaking of basketball, did you know Lance Stephenson has a little brother? Yea, his name is Lantz.
Real Life Notes:
- On this week’s edition of When the Bells Ring, Bell has still not reported to the Steelers. No word on if or when and if the Steelers are actively shopping him or not. Poor Mike.
- The Redskins are 1-1 in their last 2 games, 2-2 in their last 4 and 3-3 in their last 6. They’re 5-5 in their last 10, 6-6 in their last 12, 7-7 in their last 14. They’re 10-10 in their last 20. They’re 16-16-1 in their last 33. They’re 18-18-1 in their last 37.
- Mike Evans, 25, is now somehow the Bucs’ all-time leader in receiving yards.
- Through 6 games, the Chiefs are the worst defense ever measured in yards allowed.
Alright enough of that, time to dig in.
SOGG VS MOSTAFA
Lol, alright I know I’ve played out this underground bar in San Clemente joke, but just in case you were wondering, Soggy is still there lol. To put insult to injury, Mostafa scored nearly double his points and was not even the highest scoring team of the week. After a grade trade to bring in Antonio Brown, Sogg made a series of questionable trades that ended up netting him a total of 29 points across 3 players – one of which his QB. That’s not going to be enough to propel this team ahead; and even with the emergence of Sony Michel Sogg is scrambling to find his big point scorers.
Meanwhile, Mostafa turned an off day by his streaming QB into a 180 point victory. Adam Thielen is the first WR in NFL history with 100+ yards in the first 6 games of the season, Cooper Kupp and his slutty trade is the perfect flex player, James Conner continues to perform, Melvin Gordon is the entire Chargers offense, and Leonard Fournette is not even playing. Mostafa has turned a series of slutty moves to his advantage and even got 15 points out of my kicker that bastard.
Mostafa Max Possible Score: 210.82
Sogg Max Possible Score: 110.56
BALLS VS MASSOUD
If I told you that a team got a combined 12.4 points from their WRs, 2 from their flex, and 8.3 from their running backs; how would you say that team did? Well against all odds that team pulled off a victory against a Balls team that many had as the best moving forward. Odell barley did anything before leaving and Amari Cooper didn’t even play and yet the 21 points from Houston and 29 from Carson were enough.
Balls just…couldn’t get flowing this week. Josh Gordon didn’t do much in the shootout, MccAffrey was largely ineffective, and Carlos Hyde has really slid off the charts. Tough loss for the balls.
Balls Max Possible Score: 115.28
Massoud Max Possible Score: 108.82
DIZ VS EDGAR
The mad man fucking did it. Through some collusion, bullshit, and con jobbing he has somehow grabbed 4 first round picks onto his team. I blame everyone of you dumb motherfuckers for this. Alshon Jeffrey isn’t gonna be elite each week; and Golden Tate was a fucking fluke. Jared Goff? QBs are a dime a dozen. 0 holes in Edgar’s team, even his kicker had more points than everyone on Diz’s team except for his QB.
Honestly Diz, there’s nothing I can say here. Nothing you can blame yourself here for this loss; it wouldn’t matter what you did there’s no way you’re beating 200 points in a week. It just sucks that Andrew Luck’s big day was wasted on this.
Diz Max Possible Score: 114.14
Edgar Max Possible Score: 212.06
MIKE VS WIZARD
After taking his first loss of the season last week, Wizard returns to form again with an easy victory over a decimated Mike. Matt Ryan looked great and now that Devonta Foreman is going on IR Tevin Coleman went from a great flex pickup to an every week RB2. That being said, this is the 2nd lowest scoring week Wizard has had and was coming off the lowest scoring week. Has the sun began to set on the Wizard?
Mike was in a worst possible situation this past week. Drew Brees and Marvin Jones out on bye, Bell still not playing, Cobb being started because he had no one else (lol little did you know) and Moncrief getting 0 points. Then the Jags DEF decides to add insult to injury with -5 points.
Mike Max Possible Score: 105.4 (110.4 Without a Defense)
Wizard Max Possible Score: 134.96
ARYA VS AMIN
Well then, after a series of questionable trades that had EVERYONE questioning Amin’s moves; Amin ends up having the lowest scoring week of the entire season…across any team. Goff and Kupp sucked (and Kupp is gone now), Dorsett didn’t do anything, and Chicago defense got 1 point. The only solace I can give ya bud is that even with White this week you wouldn’t have gotten the win.
Arya has secretly slid his way into 4th place in this league. The poor guy has to choose between Brady and Mahomes every week, aww poor thing. Sanu has turned into a solid WR2, DJax is an excellent Flex and Kareem Hunt is capable of a 30 point week anyweek. But, Arya doesn’t have the firepower to keep up with the top 3. At 795 points so far this season, he has 100 points less scored than the 3rd place team; making him closer in points scored so far this season with 8th place Diz than 3rd place Wizard.
Arya Max Possible Score: 147.78
Amin Max Possible Score: 76.94
ARYAN VS AKBAR
You know the drill.
Aryan Max Possible Score: 126.1
Akbar Max Possible Score: 151.02
AZIZIS VS YO (AND ZAYD)
In case you guys were wondering, that trade Zayd pulled off with Amin is his “1 trade” that he does every season that gets him over the top. How the hell he convinced anyone to take that deal is beyond me; and even without the players he pulled off a victory this week too. Julio is the #6 WR in fantasy without scoring a TD all season, Latavius Murray came up big without Dalvin Cook and Russell Wilson continues to quietly produce numbers. Now add Kerryon and that one mothafucka from the Lions and Zayd has a formidable force.
The Azizis had a great chance of winning this week, and would’ve even won this week with some minor roster tweaks. 13 points combined out of his 3 WR’s is nothing will not do it for them, and the trade for Gronk has not returned dividends for this squad. Also, they beat me so fuck them.
Azizis Max Possible Score: 162.2
Yo Max Possible Score: 137.08
