Hey there everybody and welcome to Around The Horn. I’m your host Tony Reali and we have a great show planned for you all today. We’re now roughly around the 1/4 mark of the season and have seen tons of upsets, huge games, and drama along the way. What a better way to present all of this than with a short around the horn session with some GMs.

That being said, the way this works is follows:

• 3 GMs were given a short questionnaire
• All GMs answers will remain anonymous, and which GMs were chosen will remain anonymous. However, it’s up to them if they want to share if they were a part of this and if an answer was theirs.
• That being said, each GM will have code and all answers pertaining to that code will be from the same GM. For example, all answers that start with GM1 were given by the same GM. So on and so fourth through GM2, GM3, and GM4.
• All answers are unedited. Taken directly from the form and pasted into here.

WE’RE NOW A QUARTER OF THE WAY THROUGH THE SEASON, WHICH TEAM DO YOU THINK HAS BEEN THE BEST SO FAR?

GM1: Mostafa, his running backs and the trades for his 2 receivers is scary.
GM2: Without an ounce of reservation, Kayvon has put together the most outstanding fantasy football team. I would be surprised if he doesn’t finish in the top 3 when it’s all said and done 👍
GM3: Without question, that hot, steamy, sexy Wizard

AND WITH THAT SAID, WHICH TEAM DO YOU THINK IS GOING TO BE THE BEST MOVING FORWARD?

GM1: Amin, somehow he did it. He has a real chance to contend.
GM2: Even though I proclaimed that Kayvon has the most formidable team, I don’t think he will be the best team “moving forward” and here’s two reasons why: (1) Freeman is back in the lineup this upcoming Sunday which means Tevin Coleman can no longer be treated as an RB1 (2) even though the current QB on the 49ers {Beathard} played college ball with George Kittle, the loss of Pornstar Jimmy has to affect Kittle’s production in one way or another; there’s no debate here about who’s the better QB. So, without writing at great lengths, I declare the best teams “moving forward” are Akbar and Belal. Players to observe on Akbar’s team: (1) Aaron Jones (2) Tarik Cohen (3) KEKE do you love me??! And players to monitor on Belal’s team: (1) Edelman (2) Chris Thompson 👀

OF THE TOP TEAMS IN THE LEAGUE CURRENTLY, WHICH ONE(S) DO YOU SEE POSSIBLY FALLING OUT OF PLAYOFFS/CONTENTION?

GM1: Akbar, how is he 3-1
GM2: Mike reminds me of last year’s Diz – gets W’s but seems to always play someone who scores below a respectable number. Unless Le’Veon Bell comes back riding on a freight train, it’s only a matter of time the holes on your team are exposed (i.e. Brees can only do so much of the fighting) 🤕

SOME TEAMS HAVE HAD A VERY TOUGH SCHEDULE, WHETHER IT BE INJURIES ON THEIR TEAM OR THEIR OPPONENT’S SCHEDULE. WHICH TEAM DO YOU THINK IS BETTER THAN THEIR RECORD SUGGESTS?

GM1: Belal, he’s got studs and Edelman coming back now…
GM2: Despite being 0 and 4, I anticipate Haroon to turn things around (starting this week). After acquiring AB and the awakening of Sony Michel, there will be no easy wins against Haroon, whose team is anchored by a very loyal DeAndre Hopkins. Sogg’s team warrants respect 🐅

AND FLIPPING IT AROUND, WHICH TEAM DO YOU THINK IS WORSE THAN THEIR RECORD SUGGESTS?

GM1: Akbar, terrible team

WE’RE WELL PAST THE DRAFT NOW, WHICH PICK DO YOU THINK WAS THE STEAL OF THE DRAFT?

GM1: Adam Thielan, 2nd in receiving yards in the league
GM2: Adam Thielen… he’s the #2 overall WR in fantasy football through four weeks of play and was drafted in the late-mid 3rd round. With an exceptionally strong rapport with fellow teammate Kirk Cousins, I don’t see Adam slowing down anytime soon (if not at all). Great hands, runs crisp routes, and also down to Earth. I like the guy 🤙

WHO DO YOU THINK IS THE FRONTRUNNER FOR THE TOYOTA PICKUP OF THE YEAR AWARD? (TOP FA PICKUP)

GM1: James Connor
GM2: A case must be made for Colorado native Phillip Lindsay. Not only is he in the picture in regards to Denver’s backfield, but there are moments when fans genuinely question who’s the better player: Royce or Lindsay? 🤔

WHICH TEAM MADE OUT LIKE A BANDIT AND PULLED OFF THE BEST TRADE THUS FAR THIS SEASON?

GM1: Haroon getting AB
GM2: This is a no brainer. Haroon received the best WR in the NFL for a pair of movie tickets (Gronkowski), large popcorn (Fitzgerald), and a small Diet Coke (Sammy Watkins) 😧
GM3: Haroon – dude got AB for an injured Gronk and a bag of chips

LET’S CHANGE THINGS UP A BIT AND FOCUS MORE ON THE GMS THEMSELVES. WHATSAPP HAS BEEN BLOWING UP ALL SEASON, WHICH GM HAS CAUSED THE MOST DRAMA IN THE LEAGUE SO FAR?

GM1: Kayvon, doesn’t want drama but does not shut up
GM2: It’s all positive drama. We all get together each year to do a live draft at the Yunus residence (Aryan and Waziri, please attend one) and we’re in constant communication with one another thanks to WhatsApp. I think we should also give a quick shoutout to Aryan for adding another element of fun to this league with his witty ideas and weekly recaps 🙏
GM3: Edgar: starts drama any chance he gets

AND GOING HAND IN HAND WITH DRAMA, WHICH GM DO YOU THINK HAS BEEN THE BEST SHIT TALKER?

GM1: Diz, hes ruthless
GM2: We all need to up our game when it comes to the department of talking shit – Kayvon is participating in the group thread and Diz hasn’t threatened to bench his team once this season. Someone needs to step it up 🖕
GM3: Diz, except when that sensitive bitchosaurus rex goes into hiding

THE LEAGUE HAS SEEN TONS OF ARGUING OVER EVERYTHING FROM TRADES RULES, WAIVER RULES, SCORING RULES, VETO RULES, AND PRETTY MUCH ANYTHING. WHAT’S ONE LEAGUE RULE YOU WOULD CHANGE?

GM1: Vetos
GM2: I like when sacks were worth 2 points but maybe that’s because I own the best defense currently in fantasy 🐻
GM3: Veto publicity on thread, no need for a bunch of individual replies to Commish

WHO WAS THE BETTER COMMISSIONER, ZAYD OR SOGG?

GM1: Zayd… BUT I’d be down for Aryan to take over
GM2: They are both great in their own ways. I think Haroon took a lot of unnecessary heat for not being proactive when he was in office and Zayd has an unwarranted reputation of being a soft commissioner who lacks leadership skills 🤷‍♂️
GM3: That’s tough. I like them both. Don’t wanna choose

AND LAST BUT CERTAINLY NOT LEAST, THE TIME HAS FINALLY COME AND SOGG AND KAYVON DECIDE TO PUT UP FISTS IN AN ALL OUT BRAWL. WHO WINS AND WHY?

GM1: Kayvon would destroy him, he just has to get him in his grasp and Sogg wouldn’t get away
GM2: If Kayvon and Haroon got into a physical altercation and I was on site, I would be the first one to break it up. But if my 160lb frame couldn’t render to get the job done, then I would punch 911 on my phone. Nobody fights under my watch ❤️
GM3: Haroon has better cardio, but Kayvon has the rage/passion (and Persians usually carry pepper spray). So I’m going Kayvon with the split decision.
